Willful Suspensions of Disbelief

This may or may not be an interesting observation, but it just popped into my head one day and refused to leave. I doubt this was intentional on Rowling's part, though it is consistent with the way she seems to view the houses:

- Gryffindor's colors are red and gold
- Slytherin's colors are green and silver
- Ravenclaw's colors are blue and bronze
- And Hufflepuff, the "duffer" house (which I also don't agree with), is decked out in yellow and black, meaning...they wouldn't deserve placement at all?

*shrugs*
